PATTERNING

Patterns can be made from a simple drawing or sketch, or from tech packs. After patterns are made we recommend making a physical sample to test for fit using the fabric and materials that will be used for production.

GRADING

After the initial samples are complete and the fit of the garment is approved by the client, the pattern can be digitized and graded to multiple sizes. We recommend sewing samples in other sizes to test the fit of the graded sizes.

SAMPLING

For customers ready to order production quantities, WhiteStar requires sampling with the final patterns and fabric that will be used for the production in order to test all components before the larger order can be approved. These samples are made with fabric and materials provided by the client. Client must approve the pattern, materials, explicit sewing instructions and finished garment specifications before the order for production can be scheduled. After this final sample is approved the price per unit will be quoted for production.

MARKING

Markers will be ordered after the final samples are approved with the production fabric, and all fabric has arrived to the cutting room to be inspected and measured for usable width.

MANUFACTURING

Production time varies depending on the complexity of style and quantity ordered. Start dates depend on other pending client orders. For larger orders a production schedule will be developed in incremental due dates. WhiteStar works out the best possible flow for product quality and enhancement. We define screen and embroidery placement and tolerances, variations, and define the sequences of operations. Our quality control staff monitors each process for conformance to standards and conducts quality audits after each garment finishing process.
